Detailed Instructions

EVRVEST - THE DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS

EVRVEST is a training device. Nothing more – but that's precisely what makes the difference. Added weight alters movement, load, and technique more than you might think. Therefore, three things are crucial here:

  1. Load correctly
  2. Adjust correctly
  3. Use correctly

1. UNDERSTANDING THE SYSTEM

EVRVEST works with modular 0.5 kg weights. You determine the load – not in 5 kg increments, but precisely.

The weights and pouches are V-shaped. This shape is not just for design – it's functional. This shape ensures that the weight sits close to the body and stabilizes itself within the pouch.

Goal: No unnecessary movement. No restlessness under stress.

2. LOADING WEIGHTS CORRECTLY

OBSERVE THE V-SHAPE

The weight and bag are identical in shape. The plate must be inserted cleanly in the intended orientation.

The V-shape and individual layers stabilize the weight within the pocket. To insert, gently lift the pocket with two fingers and slide the plate in with small up-and-down movements.

POCKET ORDER

Each bag can hold up to 3 records.

Sequence:

  1. First plate: Bottom layer
  2. Second plate: Second layer
  3. Third plate: Top layer

Why?

Because the first plate at the bottom has the best fit, keeps the center of gravity low, and the bag "grips" the weight most strongly there. This keeps everything stable – even when you're going fast.

FRONT/REAR WEIGHT DISTRIBUTION

Basic rule: Load evenly at the front and rear. Load symmetrically on the left and right.

  • 10 kg vest
5 kg front / 5 kg rear, 1 weight per bag
  • 20 kg Vest
10 kg front / 10 kg rear, 2 weights per bag
  • 30 kg Vest
15 kg front / 15 kg rear 3 weights per bag

Use asymmetrical loading only deliberately – and with a light load.

3. CORRECTLY ADJUSTING THE TWIST-LOCK-SYSTEM

EVRVEST is designed to fit close to the body. Stable. Not constricting.

TIGHTEN

Press button. Turn clockwise.

LOOSEN

Pull the fastener out slightly

If the vest lifts or shifts during movement → tighten slightly.

Target sensation: Tightness to the body, free breathing.

4. CHOOSE WEIGHT - SENSIBLE INSTEAD OF MAXIMUM

There is no perfect number. The right weight depends on the training goal, technique, and level.

Extra weight has a stronger effect than many people think.

WALK
Slow movement allows for more weight.

WALK is suitable for:

Walks
Mobilisation
Gradients
Longer units

The load can be higher here – as long as posture and gait remain stable.

If shoulders hurt or walking feels heavy → reduce.

RUN
Running puts high forces on the knees, ankles, and tendons. Additional weight significantly increases these forces.

Therefore: Less weight. More control.

If your cadence decreases, your hips tilt, or your foot strike becomes hard → reduce weight.

RUN is not a first-person mode.

PERFORM
In strength and functional training, everything depends on the exercise.

Slow, stable movements can withstand more load. Explosive or complex movements less so.

Pull-Ups ≠ Squats ≠ Burpees.

Technology is what matters. Not weight.

5. INCREASE WEIGHT

Increase weight only if:

Technology remains stable.
No evasive movement occurs.
You feel stressed but not overwhelmed after the session.

Recommendation:
Increase in 0.5 kg increments. Give your body 2-3 sessions before increasing again.

Stress is built up. Not forced.

6. BACK LOOP (D-RINGS)
The resistance rings on the back of the vest are intended for use with light resistance bands and resistance training.

Recommended training load: max. 100 kg pulling load

Not suitable for:
Heavy sled pulling
Hanging from body weight
Explosive pulling movements
External additional weights

EVRVEST remains primarily a weight vest.

7. SAFETY

No handstands. No inverted loads. No extreme external additional load. Increase load gradually.

For pain in joints or tendons → reduce weight.

8. CARE

Remove weights before washing. Hand wash only. The inside can be disinfected with a fabric disinfectant spray. Air dry. Do not tumble dry. Do not overtighten the twist-lock system.

9. FAQ - FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTION

1. What is EVRVEST?
A modular weight vest for real training. Ergonomic. Close-fitting. Stable.

2. Who is EVRVEST suitable for?
For all those who are serious about exercise:

  • Functional Training
  • HYROX
  • Running & Trail
  • Calisthenics
  • Strength training
  • Rehabilitation & Athletic Training

3. What size do I need?
Compact (S) → smaller body / narrower upper body

Allrounder (M) → fits most

Allrounder Max (L) → wider / tall / very muscular/firm upper body

Between two sizes? Tighter fit → choose smaller. More room → choose larger.

4. How much weight should I use?
That depends on the goal.

Running → start easy. Strength training → increase progressively. Longer periods of exertion → begin moderately.

Important: Movement quality takes precedence over weight.

5. How do I distribute the weight?
Always evenly distributed between the front and back.

Example: 6 kg → 3 kg front / 3 kg rear 10 kg → 5 kg front / 5 kg rear

This will keep your center of gravity stable.

6. How do I use the weights?
Weight and bag shape are identical.

Gently lift the pocket with two fingers. Insert the plate using gentle up-and-down movements.

It fits snugly. No slipping.

7. What is the twist-lock system?
A lateral fixation.

The vest stays on the body. No jumping. No wobbling.

Stable even during sprints and jumps.

8. Can I walk/jog/run while wearing the vest?
Yes.

But: Start easily. Check the technology.

If posture suffers → reduce weight.

9. Is EVRVEST also suitable for women?
Yes.

Compact (S) (Coming soon) is specially designed for smaller body shapes. However, the Allrounder M is also suitable for women depending on body shape/size/circumference. Ergonomic fit without pressure points.

10. Is the vest suitable for rehabilitation?
Yes, through small weight increments starting from 0.5 kg.

Load can be specifically controlled. Recommendation: Consult your therapist.

11. How does EVRVEST differ from other westerns?

Close-fitting

Modular weights for progressive strength increases

Minimal to no bounce

Freedom of movement under load

Developed with athletes, coaches, and therapists.

12. How do I care for the vest?
Remove weights. Wash in cold water or by hand. Clean the inside with disinfectant spray (fabric). Air dry.

No heat.

13. What's the best way to get started?
Start easy. 2-3 sessions to get used to it. Then gradually increase.

Clean movement first. Weight after.
